Land of the Free Because of the Brae Chalkboard Art
I don't usually share my life in item on the web log. But sometimes, I think it's OK to share a glimpse of what happens behind the screen, in my not then nifty house. I hope yous tin encounter where I am going past sharing this story that happens to include gratis Thanksgiving chalkboard art.
10 days ago, my son had a fever of 104 degrees. I took him to the pediatrician to find out he had strep pharynx. They prescribed antibiotics for 9 days. He was home with me for three days. In those three days, I delivered a couple of Etsy orders, stained some woods signs, and 2 corn pigsty boxes I was making for a wedding. It was barbarous working in an 85-degree and humid garage. Because we don't seem to have a glimpse of fall yet.
The day he went dorsum to school I felt queasy and feverish. Turns out I got strep too. In betwixt fevers, I managed -again- to terminate that wedding ceremony package, and just when I idea I had everything under control (my son's and my own wellness, the nuptials package washed…) the sales rep at the UPS store dropped one of the corn holes and put a large mark on it.
I started to cry. Right there, at the UPS store.
I sent the package; in that location wasn't much I could do at that bespeak. I talked to the bride-to-be, and she just said: 'No, no, no… don't weep! Information technology will add to the rustic await'. Talk about giving Grace. I wish at that place were more people in the world, but like her.
You volition think my story will stop there. Kind of a happy catastrophe, right?. But, it doesn't.
The very next 24-hour interval, my son woke upwards covered in hives. Head to toe. It was day ix of 10 of the antibiotic and turns out he's allergic. Even afterward the fact that he has had Amoxicillin in two other dissimilar occasions, the physician said he had developed an allergy.
This was the most horrible allergy I have seen in my life. And it got worse by the minute. The hives kept swelling and growing, the itch would go away for a couple of hours but it would come back later on with a vengeance. It was absolutely painful to watch him lay in bed covered in hives.
How The Thanksgiving Chalkboard art Came to Be
But, in the midst of all these crazy events, I found peace terminal nighttime. I discovered that I needed to slow down and be there for my son; and for my own inner peace.
So, I laid down in bed with him, and for the first time in a long time, I scrolled through my Pinterest feed every bit a regular person and non as a blogger. I wasn't looking for Thanksgiving art or posts ideas, I wasn't searching for DIY chalkboard projects, I was just scrolling.
And I read this…
I could not let it laissez passer.
Equally an 'creative person by heart', there are some days when I just don't experience inspired. Yet terminal nighttime, with a 5-year-old covered in hives (and in a thick layer of miraculous coconut oil), I found the inspiration -and the reply to my k questions- in the words of God.
It was definitely a message sent from higher up. Fifty-fifty though I felt like I was going through hell, God told me to keep moving, to keep loving my life, and to continue loving the things I e'er loved to practise. Because life is full of crappy moments, merely at that place is ever a lesson to acquire. And we must give thanks!
And so, I grabbed my laptop and designed the post-obit chalkboard art and quotes for Thanksgiving.
'Start each solar day with a grateful eye'
The definition of Thanksgiving as per lexicon dot com
and this beautiful Psalm:
'Give thanks to the Lord for he is skillful; his beloved endures forever' Psalm 107:1
The moral of information technology for me was, that I am exactly in the place where God wants me to be. He fifty-fifty had my neighbor at the chemist's shop when I chosen her to inquire if she could watch my son while I ran to the pharmacy myself to pick upwards medicine.
Yes, God is that skilful!
